In yet another shocking indictment of the dire state of our health system, management at the Mater Hospital in Dublin has issued a statement to say that the public should avoid attending the A&E Department there due to severe overcrowding.
Long delays are expected, as 27 people languished on trolleys at the facility earlier on today.
