Ireland continues to freeze, as daytime temperatures have barely risen higher than 4C over the last 72 hours.
Met Eireann has once again issued a deep cold warning, affecting Connacht, Cavan, Monaghan and Donegal, as the thermometer is expected to mark -6C in certain areas tonight.
Patches of dense fog lingered for most of the day in some parts today, making driving conditions hazardous.
Weekend weather is expected to remain very cold, but mostly dry.
