Gardai in Co Wicklow have confirmed that they have arrested two men in their 20s in connection with a brutal attack on an elderly woman at her home last September.
The men who have not yet been named where arrested for the brutal assault carried out on Eva Sutton 90, at her home at approximately 5am on Thursday 10th of September. It is believed that a terrified Mrs Sutton was assaulted for up to an hour by the ruthless thugs after they broke into her home, Mrs Sutton was so badly beaten she had to be treated for a number of injuries including a broken nose, punctured lung and numerous broken ribs ar St Vincent’s Hospital Dublin. The terrified woman was also forced to sell her home a few months later as she feared that she would subjected to another attack.
The news of the arrests was confirmed by a Garda spokesperson last night who said that two men, aged 21 and 23 were arrested yesterday morning and were taken in for questioning at Bray Garda Station. It is understood the two men are currently being held under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
