
A newly published opinion poll shows that support for Fianna Fáil has climbed by two percentage points, reports RTE.
The Business Post/Red C poll places the party at 17%, marking a two-point increase compared to the same survey carried out four weeks ago, reports RTE.
Meanwhile, Sinn Féin remains the most popular political party, although its backing has fallen by one point to 23%.
Fine Gael is steady at 18%, reports RTE.
The survey indicates that support for independents remains unchanged at 13%, while the Social Democrats have slipped by one percentage point to 9%.
Labour Party and Aontú are both holding at 5%, with Independent Ireland also unchanged at 4%, reports RTE.
Support for the Green Party has edged up by one point to 3%, while People Before Profit–Solidarity remains at 3%.
The poll was conducted between 13 and 19 February using an online sample of 1,010 adults, reports RTE.
The margin of error is plus or minus 3%.
