The singer was arrested earlier today after disembarking at Shannon airport from a New York flight. O’Riordan had allegedly been involved in an case of air rage.
Upon exiting the aircraft, she was arrested and taken to University Hospital in Dooradoyle, Limerick, under Garda custody. An air hostess on the flight was also taken to hospital, after the singer allegedly stamped on her foot.
During her arrest, the singer allegedly headbutted a member of the Gardai and then spat on his face. It is understood the garda’s injuries are not serious.
O’Riordan was released without charge at around 3:30pm.
