The actor who plays Nidge in Love/Hate, Tom Vaughan Lawlor, has released a statement which has thanked Love/Hate for the past 5 years and says he now looks forward to new challenges ahead.

The statement reads:
‘The last five years working on Love/Hate have been an incredible and unforgettable journey for me.’ He also said “I’m hugely grateful to the show and to its fans and I am equally looking forward to the new challenges ahead for me both on screen and stage,”

But do we believe him? Have the producers and RTE too much invested in the series and making too much revenue to let the character go?

So many unanswered questions, so many characters, so many views, so many what if’s???

In a cliffhanger episode that has gripped the country almost as much was the “Who shot JR” in Dallas in the 80s, every Love/Hate fan is left wondering after last night’s Season 5 finale, will there be a Season 6?

King Nidge was wearing his favourite runners when Paddy “the most peaceful pipebomb maker” shot him numerous times and ran off. The question remains could Nidge survive? He wasn’t shot in the head, so could Season 6 start with him recovering in hospital?

Fran also had a very dramatic episode, a vicious rape scene was condemned by many people, but the writers claim it’s a real-life scenario.

What do you think? Could Terence May come back from Spain and run the show, or is King Nidgey going to rule the roost next year again?
