Donald Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts suspended ‘indefinitely’ following shameful scenes in Washington on Wednesday

Donald Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts have been suspended ‘indefinitely,’ following shameful scenes in Washington on Wednesday.

According to a statement released by Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg, the accounts have been suspended because “We believe the risks of allowing the president to continue to use our services are simply too great. Therefore we are extending the block we have placed on his Facebook and Instagram accounts indefinitely and for at least the next two weeks until the peaceful transition of power is complete.”

A mob of Trump supporters broke into the Capitol on Wednesday afternoon and ran amok inside the building. Four people died during the unrest.
