The Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly has confirmed that those who have underlying medical conditions will begin to receive the Covid-19 vaccine next week.
Speaking in the Dail, Donnelly said that vaccinations in cohort 4 will begin at GP practices and hospital settings on Monday.
It is understood that the group will include those aged 18 to 64 who have an underlying condition.
Meanwhile the vaccination process for the over 70s will continue next week with almost over 85s expected to receive their first dose.
