Don’t believe the myths warning issued to drivers trying dodge speed camera vans

Drivers across the country have been urged not to believe myths about speed camera vans and there’s no point in trying to dodge them.

Speaking to The Irish Mirror newspaper, an AA spokesperson said that the only way to avoid triggering the cameras is to drive safely and within the speed limit.

The AA spokesperson went on to say that they have heard a number of myths over the years including the suggestion that if you drive really fast you won’t trigger the camera.

However the spokesperson told the paper that this sinply isn’t true and motorists should behave responsibly on the road.

The spokesperson also addressed calms that by changing lanes you trick the camera’s calculations. However the spokesperson said this isn’t also true as cameras have been made more advanced and they now use multiple sets of cameras at each point to track all the lanes and compare average speeds.
