A wave of heat coming from southern Europe is on course to bring soaring temperatures to Ireland in the coming days, according to updated expert forecasts, reports The Mirror.

The latest weather maps show several areas of Ireland shaded in black, a marker indicating temperatures exceeding 25°C. The heat is expected to ramp up across the country starting today.

Maps released by WXCharts.com suggest that the warmest conditions will hit the west and northwest regions of Ireland, though the midlands are also expected to feel the heat, particularly on tomorrow, reports The Mirror.
