A third terminal may be built at Dublin Airport in the near future, as a commission of independent consultants begins to review the viability of such project.

There have been ongoing concerns of air traffic congestion at the airport, as the number of passengers and aircraft using the facility has increased in recent times.

It has also emerged that the main runway is in dire need of repairs, which are scheduled to commence in November and may take up to 18 months to complete.
