Three minors, including five-month old twins, remain in Cork University Hospital this morning after being airlifted there yesterday evening.

The children sustained severe burns after a petrol can accidentally ignited inside a house in Drinagh, Co. Cork. It is understood a spark from a nearby fire caused the flammable fluid to ignite.

The children’s parents remain by their bedside, though the minors’ condition is believed to be non-life threatening.
