A man (38) remains hospitalised in a critical condition after being shot several times in an attack in Mulhuddart, Dublin at around 8:30pm last night.
The man was shot several times -Gardaí believe up to six shots may have been fired at him.
Dublin Fire Brigade ambulance personnel treated the man at the scene before removing him to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.
The victim is known to Gardaí for associating with criminal gang members but with no serious convictions.
Gardaí have issued an appeal for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward and contact them at Blanchardstown Garda Station.
