UTV Ireland never really took off to the expectations that were desired. Although it had millions pumped into and brand new state of the art high def studios, the newest Irish television channel had practically no one watching it.
Now its parent company, TV3 have announced today that they’re relaunching the channel as a female orientated channel with the name of “Be3”.
The company will have three channels to play with now, TV3 for news and politics, 3e for fun stuff like Graham Norton and I’m a Celeb and Be3 for women’s shows such as Loose Women and Ellen.
UTV Ireland will cease broadcasting on January 8th 2017.
