According to reports this evening it is understood that Dublin Bus drivers are considering the possibility of taking strike action after the Labour Court recomended that they should get an 8% pay rise.
The latest figures are beileved to be well below what drivers are willing to accept after they requested an extra 30% on top of their salaries to put them on par with the Luas Drivers.
However, the Labour Court recomends that all drrivers should reiceve a lower increase of 8.25% out over the next three years
The proposal now means the drivers’ union will now vote on the pay proposals, but are expected to reject the deal in favour of strike action.
