Dublin can’t be a carpark – Martin slams fuel protesters, saying it was completely unacceptable what they did

The Taoiseach has described the blockade at the Whitegate oil refinery in Co Cork over the past week as “an act of national sabotage”, reports The Mirror.

In a strongly worded statement, Micheal Martin said that it directly impacted the people of Ireland. It made absolutely no sense in the fuel crisis we are currently facing.

It was beyond belief that people would seek to deny people around the country access to vital fuels. Businesses and people’s livelihoods depend on this fuel. It was an outrage.

Meanwhile, the govt’s offer to farmers is not going down well with everyone as some people are refusing to accept it and said they’ll continue to fight on.
