As the threat of a possible second lockdown remains hanging in the balance, a construction site in Dublin remains shut down following an outbreak of coronavirus.
All activity at the site, located on Townsend Street, has been halted following the confirmation that a number of workers had contracted the disease.
It’s understood that at least 20 people working at the site have contracted covid-19 with possibly more infected following a widespread testing programme.
A total of 1,753 have died from Covid-19-related causes across Ireland so far.
