
Firefighters at Dublin Fire Brigade have been praised for their efforts after they rescued a dog from a swollen river in Lucan.
In a post on their Twitter page Dublin Fire Brigade, revealed that they rescued the dog believed to be a husky after it got into difficulties.
The post which has also been shared on Facebook has seen the brave firefighters been praised for their heroics by the public who expressed their gratitude for the services continued efforts.
Firefighters this afternoon rescuing a husky dog from a swollen river in #Lucan. The animal rescue services will normally attend first & request our help if needed but if not, never jeopardise your own safety, particularly around water. Call 999 / 112 for assistance pic.twitter.com/MdLzmLeq1E
