Police in the UK have confirmed that a young child has been hospitalised after being seriously burned at a Christmas event in South London.
According to Sky News, police investigating the incident confirmed that a young boy was taken to hospital via air ambulance following the incident which occurred during a nativity event at Our Lady’s of the Annunciation Church, in Croydon.
Although it is not yet known what caused the incident, Metropolitan Police say an adult also sustained burn injuries.
However thankfully their injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
