Gardaí are continuing to investigate Ms Carroll’s murder and have arrested her partner 34-year-old Sean Nolan who has been charged and remanded in custody.

Meanwhile a GoFundMe page has been set up in order to help raise funds for Ms Carroll’s funeral arrangements.

The page contained the following message: “As I’m sure your all aware Amanda was tragically taken from her two boys and family.

“We want to help the family as much as we can with the funeral and maybe have something left to help out with trying to give her boys some sort of a normal Christmas.

“Amanda was a lovely caring beautiful young woman who was taken way to soon and it shows in our community how shocked and saddened we all are so if you can help out in anyway thank you so much.”

The page has so far made just over €3,000 of its overall €7,000 goal.
