Due to the government’s horrendous handling of the pandemic, St Patrick’s Day is practically cancelled in Ireland again this year

The Irish have either lost their fighting spirit or truly are sheep who just follow the crowd and do what they’re told.

Either way, there is absolutely no other way of saying it, the Irish government have been a disgrace over the past year and have made little to no progress in actually get a grip on this pandemic.

Many countries around the world are actually celebrating St Patrick’s Day as per usual this year, but the home of the festivities may as well have cancelled the entire day with parades and events cancelled left, right and centre.

There have been multiple calls from Fianna Fail members for the Taoiseach Micheal Martin to get the boot from the party’s leadership, which says it all.

The Tanaiste Leo Varadkar is embroiled in a major criminal investigation while Eamon Ryan just appears to be obsessed with installing bicycle lanes all over the place.

We have to remain optimistic but one would have to question whether the 2022 St Patrick’s Day celebrations will also be cancelled given this trio’s past performances.
