Dunnes Stores workers will march across Dublin today to highlight their new “Decency at Work” campaign.

There is an ongoing row between staff and management at Dunnes over poor employment conditions. A one day strike took place on Holy Thursday a few weeks ago.

Staff, their families, and supporters will assemble at Merrion Sq., Dublin, at 1pm today and will march towards Dunnes HQ in Georges St.

Unions and staff are asking for job security, fair pay, and a right to representation.

Spokesperson for Mandate trade union David Gibney said: “Dunnes Stores workers, their families and other supporters are marching on Dunnes Stores head office today to demand Decency At Work, as part of a wider campaign to secure fair pay, the right to trade union representation, job security and secure hours and income.”
