June Bank Holiday weekend was a writeoff, and the current weekend is not faring much better weather wise.
It will be blustery and wet for most of the day today, though a slight improvement is forecast for tomorrow, Sunday.
Showers will clear towards late afternoon today, to give way to more settled but cool weather. Sunday will be a mixed bag of clouds and sunshine, but it will get a little milder as the day progresses, with the south east of the country enjoying the best weather.
Met Eireann have said however that lasting sunshine and “normal” June temperatures will make an appearance towards the middle of next week, as high pressure takes hold over Ireland.
