Dutch minister resigns after report appears to suppress true figures surrounding asylum seeker crime

The Dutch migration minister Mark Harbers was forced to resign earlier this week after a report compiled by his department downplayed migrant related crime statistics DW news reports.

In the report presented to the Netherland’s parliament by Harbers that compiled information on crimes committed by asylum-seekers in the land of dykes and windmills only misdemeanour crimes were listed in their own categories.

While the report listed categories of crimes committed by asylum seekers such as shoplifting it listed more serious crimes such as murder, rape and manslaughter under the “other” category.

This provoked outrage from other members of parliament and citizens and after questioning the Minister offered his resignation taking responsibility for the report and claiming that the downplaying of crimes linked to asylum seekers was “not deliberate”.

This latest scandal presents another headache for Holland’s Prime Minister Mark Rutte who like so many other EU leaders fears the rise of nationalist and Eurosceptics in his own country.

In the past members of the police in Germany and Sweden have come forward to claim the governments in those countries were likewise involved in the manipulation of crime statistics and suppression of crime reports to avoid encouraging anti-migrant and nationalistic feelings.

The UK has also been rocked by a never-ending stream of scandals involving predominantly Muslim men targeting non-Muslim English girls from working class backgrounds for sexual exploitation.

Most shockingly of all is the fact that authorities and the mainstream media were aware of this for years if not decades but refused to act, even when parents pleaded for help, for fear of being accused of racism by PC fanatics.
