Police in the UK have begun an investigation after a newborn baby was found abandoned outside a hospital.
According to Sky News, Kent Police say they are currently searching for the newborn’s mother after the baby was found at the entrance of Darent Valley Hospital, Dartford.
Police investigating the incident say the baby was unharmed and is currently in the care of staff at the hospital.
They added that they are concerned about the mother’s wellbeing and have urged to come forward and contact them.
