The leader of the Green Party, Eamon Ryan was eliminated from the European election at 4am… and he wasn’t one bit happy.
The 51 year old who came up some 160 votes short is reputedly demanding a recount. Officials say 160 votes is more than a mistake would allow but they are meeting him this afternoon anyway.
Meanwhile socialist Paul Murphy took an absolute hammering by being eliminated in the very early stages of the race.
