Ebola outbreak could surpass 20,000 cases by November, World Health Organization (WHO) warns

Ebola has so far killed over 2,600 people across several West African nations, and efforts to contain the spread of the virus have so far proved unsuccessful, largely due to wholly unsuitable working conditions in the areas affected and also by superstitious and unfounded beliefs among certain sectors of the population.
