The new Minister for Education Norma Foley has said that she hopes to open schools by the end of August or the start of September.
Speaking following her appointment, Foley said that although she would like to open schools as soon as possible, it won’t happen unless it is deemed safe to do so.
Foley also said the task of reopening schools is one of the hardest, she did state that she is willing to talk to everyone about the prospect.
She added that she will discuss the matter with everyone from Medical experts, teachers and parents.
