There were further talks overnight to try and resolve the ongoing Luas row, with the two sides meeting at the Workplace Relations Commission (WRC) to discuss their options.
Luas drivers had earlier agreed to return to the negotiations table, after the management company, Transdev, agreed to reverse its decision to introduce an alternative bus service on St. Patrick’s Day. The work stoppage tomorrow is still going ahead, as of this morning, though talks will continue today.
SIPTU divisional organiser, Owen Reidy, has said that while the talks are ongoing, ‘there is still a long way to go.’
