Broadband and TV provider Eir have confirmed they have launched investigation into it’s online streaming service after hundreds of their customers were prevented from watching Ireland’s historic victory over New Zealand on Saturday night.
The match which was only aired on the pay TV provider was missed by many customer’s after their app experienced a technical fault.
According to reports many subscribers said they were prevented from viewing it on the app because there was no stream available, whilst others complained it was too stuttery and too delayed to watch even when they did receive the stream.
The company have now said they are currently investigating the issue but have not yet found what caused the problem.
