An elderly couple visiting Valentia Island, in Co Kerry were rescued after their fell off a slipway and into the sea on Monday afternoon.
According to RTÉ News, the couple aged in their 70s and who are from the US, were left in a difficult situation after the car they were sitting became submerged in the water.
However thankfully the couple were saved after a quick thinking local man managed to reach the couple just in the nick of time.
It is believed the man successfully managed to rebalance the vehicle by opening the back door, before he managed to pull the couple from the car.
Thankfully no one suffered any major injuries following the incident, however it is believed that the couple were left in shock following the incident.
