Gardaí in Co Roscommon have confirmed that a man aged in his 80s has died following a hit and run on Saturday night.
It is understood the man was killed after he was struck by a vehicle in Keadue, at approximately 11pm last night.
Gardaí say the driver a man aged in his 20s failed to remain at the scene, but later handed himself in to Carrick-on-Shannon Garda Station, a short time later.
