Emma Murphy: Gardai have started a domestic violence investigation

The incredibly brave Emma Murphy is having her Facebook viral video domestic violence claims taken very seriously.

The 26-yr-old Dublin lady is said to have been interviewed by Gardai at her home in Ballymun, in North Dublin.

Santry Gardai are investigating a claim that Emma Murphy says she was the victim of her partners rage and domestic violence, receiving a vicious punch to her left eye, when she tried to look at his phone to see if he was cheating.

Emma made a 5 minute video and posted it on Facebook, depicting a series of violent assaults and claims of infidelity on her partners side.

A man with a name of ‘Francis Usanga’ is to be interviewed by Gardai today in connection with the domestic violence investigation.

He is said to be in his late 20s, originally from Nigeria, and working as a trainer in a Dublin Northside gymnasium.

Ms Murphy’s video has since gone globally viral. Her tremendous courage has been commended right across the world.
