England could be set to follow Ireland and use vaccine passports for indoor hospitality

England could soon be set to follow Ireland and use vaccination passports for indoor dining.

According to The Times in the UK, the British Government are considering using the system in order to stave off a potential fourth wave in the autumn.

Under the proposals people in England would have have to prove they are fully vaccinated or have a negative Covid-19 test before they can enter venues such as bars, clubs or restaurants.

It is believed that the system is being considered in order to encourage a greater uptake of the Covid-19 vaccine amongst younger people.
