
There could another massive hike on cigarettes this year in this years Budget according to reports. The Irish Medical Organisation has called for the government to put another €1 onto an already €10 packet of cigarettes.
This means that the a regular packet of 20 cigarettes will cost a minimum of €11 each.
Many smokers feel there is an unfair clampdown on their pass time. One told The Liberal: “They won’t stop until we really cannot afford to buy them anymore. It’s not really fair on us, we’re not doing anything to anyone else, especially where we have to smoke now”.
