In another stunning display of diplomatic parlance the EU parliaments Brexit coordinator Guy Verhofstadt has said “Well, I doubt Lucifer would welcome them” referring to Brexit supporters who did not already have a formulated plan before the referendum to get out of the EU.
The Fanatical Europhile went on to say of Brexiteers “they would even manage to divide hell”.
The comments come in response to Wednesday’s remarks from EU Council President Donald Tusk who flippantly remarked at the culmination of a press conference with the Taoiseach in Brussels that he wonders what the “special place in hell looks like for those who promoted Brexit” with no plan.
UK MEP and the former leader of UKIP Nigel Farage hit back saying that Britain leaving the EU sounded more like “heaven”.
The UK and EU are set for a no-deal separation in less than 50 days as Brussels digs its heels in and refuses to acquiesce to London’s pleas for a renegotiation of the Brexit deal.
