It’s been an absolute disastrous year for the State broadcaster, RTE.
They’ve lost a massive amount of money, €13 million to be exact, and now according to its Director General, “everything is on the table” and that includes a hefty increase of what people are forced to pay for a TV licence, whether they even watch RTE or not.
The broadcaster is planning for the future in a media environment that’s rapidly changing with thousands of people each year claiming to no longer watch the likes of the Late Late Show.
