Family reunion: ISIS Bride Lisa Smith’s father has asked Leo Varadkar to find his daughter and bring her back to Ireland

It’s going to be a family reunion soon enough if ISIS bride Lisa Smith’s father gets his way.

Dundalk man George Martin has pleaded with the Taoiseach Leo Varadkar to bring his daughter, ISIS bride Lisa Smith and her daughter, back to Ireland from Syria.

Smith left her Irish defence forces job to go and join her ISIS husband in Syria. Now she has a daughter to him and her whereabouts are completely unknown to the Irish government.

It’s understood from sources that Smith’s family are not happy that the government haven’t made progress with Smith’s repatriation – but the public want their say on whether Smith is allowed back into Ireland or not.

The so-called ISIS Bride Lisa Smith has reportedly gone missing from the Syrian camp where she was being held along with her daughter.

It is understood that hundreds of ISIS operatives, and many ISIS wives and children have broken out from a number of camps in the wake of the Turkish military offensive in northern Syria.

Her current status and location remain unknown, but the area has become extremely volatile after US troops withdrew from the region, essentially paving the way for Turkey’s attack along its border.
