A female pedestrian has died after being struck by a lorry on an Irish motorway.
The incident happened on the M7 southbound, between J12 Newbridge and J13 Kildare, earlier today.
The victim, a woman in her 40s, was rushed to hospital, where she was pronounced dead a short time later.
Gardai are asking witnesses to contact Kildare Garda Station (045) 527 730 or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
