Following the mass sexual assaults, rapes and robberies on young German women in the city of Cologne on New Year’s Eve by up to 1,000 Arab refugees, the people of Europe are second guessing their politicians and the stance they took on freely allowing millions of Middle Eastern migrants enter our shores.

A new Millward Brown/Sunday Independent poll shows only 10% of people think we could cope with a Paris-like attack.

46% of Irish people polled believe there will be an ISIS attack here in Ireland.

50% believe Jihadist terrorist already live amongst in Ireland.

Responding to the horrific Germany New Year’s Eve tragedy and this most recent poll, Renua leader Lucinda Creighton has called for complete screening of all 4,000 refugees we’re meant to get this month.

Creighton said:
“I don’t think it’s xenophobic or unreasonable to say that there should be screening,” said Creighton.

“There should be a process and mechanism in place to insure that refugees are really refugees and not just economic migrants, and there has to be a mix, obviously there’s a mix.“

“In a sense there has been an attempt to silence anybody who questions the kind of complete open-door policy. I think it has to be open-door but it has to involve screening.”
