Firefighters called to another incident at Rooskey Hotel which has been earmarked for asylum seekers

Firefighters were called out to an incident at the Shannon Key West Hotel in Rooskey, on the Roscommon and Leitrim border late last night it has been revealed.

It is understood three units from Mohil and Strokestown were sent to the scene after the alarm was raised shortly after 9:30pm.

However there was no visible signs of smoke or flames at the building when crews arrived.

The latest incident comes after there was an alleged arson attack at the hotel last month.

The hotel was previously earmarked to become a center for asylum seekers, but the plans have since been halted following several legal battles.
