A teenager accused of raping and murdering six-year-old Alesha MacPhail on the Isle of Bute, in July last has claimed that a woman committed the crime.
According to Sky News, the 16-year-old boy who cannot be named due to legal reasons, has pleaded not guilty of committing the crime.
It is understood that the boy who is standing trial for the rape and murder of the little girl on July 2nd last year, has submitted special defence of incrimination and has named a woman as the alleged culprit of the crime.
The teenager also denies the charge of defeating the ends of Justice which was brought against him after he is alleged to have disposed of clothes and a knife.
