A fisherman in his 40s was airlifted to hospital after sustaining serious injuries while out at sea on Saturday evening
It is understood that the man was on board a French fishing boat when the incident occurred about 20km off the Blasket Islands in Kerry.
The injured party was airlifted to Kerry Hospital, where his condition is believed to be serious.
