After a disturbance this morning at a church in County Donegal, five males were taken into custody, reports RTE.
The males were taken into custody after a public order incident at the Church of the Irish Martyrs in Letterkenny. They are in their 30s and 60s.
Additionally, a number of firearms were taken.
The event occurred just before the church in Ballyraine, where mass was scheduled to start at 11.30 a.m.
A fight broke out between many persons on the church porch and eventually spilt inside, reports RTE.
Local gardaà and the Garda Armed Response Unit were waiting for the group in the parking lot when they exited the church.
Tomorrow is the five men’s scheduled appearance in a special session of Letterkenny District Court, reports RTE.
