Gardaí in Co Roscommon have confirmed that five people have been injured following a two vehicle collision on Saturday.
It is understood that two women were seriously injured following the incident which occurred in Ardleckna, Elphin, at approximately 12:45pm.
Gardaí say both women aged in their 30s and 70s respectively were taken to Sligo University Hospital.
They added that three men aged in their 30s and 70s respectively were taken to Sligo University Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
An investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
