Police in the UK have confirmed that a 12-year-old girl remains in critical condition after being struck by a van in Newbury, Berkshire on Friday evening.
According to Sky News, police investigating the incident say the girl was struck by a white flatbed van on the A339, shortly after 9pm.
It is believed that the driver of the vehicle failed to remain at the scene and the young girl was seriously injured following the incident.
Police say the girl was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital where she remains in critical condition.
