About half of the entire flight schedules across European airspace are facing disruption, due to a malfunction at Eurocontrol.
The Eurocontrol agency is in charge of air traffic control management across the continent.
According to the agency, a problem occurred in its Enhanced Tactical Flow Management System (ETFMS) this afternoon. The issue means that airlines may need to re-file any flight plans entered into the system before 10.30 UTC.
