Flybe flight makes emergency landing in Dublin after smoke is detected in the cockpit

Flybe Flight 664 was forced to make an emergency landing in Dublin today after declaring an emergency onboard.

The aircraft, a Dash 8 turboprop, took off from Knock Airport bound for Manchester, but had to divert to Dublin shortly after take off due to the presence of smoke in the cockpit.

The plane landed safely in Dublin at 5.40pm., where it was inspected by fire crews and engineers.
