Shocking footage has emerged of a young woman being viciously attacked by a man after allegedly being bottle-fed on the main street of a Co Longford village yesterday morning, reports The Mirror.
The incident happened around 1:30 pm in Newtownforbes, Co Longford.
The Irish Mirror has learned the 20-year-old man required eight stitches on one side of his face after the alleged attack.
Video footage emerged of the incident, showing a man beating a woman who was lying on the ground.
The woman is seen falling to the ground while multiple knees and punches hit the young woman while she is lying on the ground.
Gardai have confirmed that a woman in her 20s was arrested and later released without charge before a file was sent to prosecutors, reports The Mirror.
“Gardaí are investigating an alleged assault that occurred in Newtownforbes, Co. Longford on Friday, 21st April 2023,” said a garda spokesperson, reports The Mirror.
