Former FAI CEO John Delaney resigns from €160,000 UEFA Executive Committee role




The former FAI CEO John Delaney has resigned from his position on the UEFA Executive Committee with immediate effect.

Delaney who resigned from his position as CEO of the FAI last year confirmed his decision on Monday.

In a statement UEFA thanked Delaney for his contributions saying that he was instrumental in expanding the European Championships to 24 teams and was a key figure in move that centralised the TV rights across national team competitions.

It is believed that Delaney leaves his position having earned €160,000 per year in the role.
